• Social Community Participation

  Social interaction is important in daily lives because it helps a person feel like they have company and purpose. It is important for people to step out of their comfort zone and meet others. This is why community participation is crucial for people with disabilities. Our responsibility as NDIS registered providers includes working with the participants, families, carers, and other stakeholders to engage in social interaction through a wide range of activities.

  Community engagement helps people solve their problems through the exchange of thoughts and ideas. We will design community participation programs that support our clients interests. These activities, like sports, games, art, craft, reading, etc., will be group oriented or will be one-on-one with a support worker.

• Supported Independent Living

  Supported Independent Living (SIL) is part of the NDIS services that provide support to participants by facilitating independent living as far as possible with proper guidance and training. It is usually given to those people who require 24/7 support. SIL funding also covers the cost of the support staff living in the house.

  Services provided under SIL include:

  • Support in the house
  • Help with community access outside the house.
  • Tasks like cooking, cleaning, etc.
  • Manages the staff working in the house
  • Addresses any complaints
  • Screens workers for the house

• Household Tasks
  Our team will assist NDIS clients with basic household tasks like:
  • Cleaning: Basic cleaning and sweeping jobs
  • Laundry: Washing clothes and other materials daily or on a weekly basis
  • Dish washing: We will send staff to handle this crucial task
  • Changing bed linen: Assistance will be provided in changing bed linens
  • Vacuuming and mopping: A team will take care of vacuuming and mopping the house
  • Dusting: Professional dusting of the home and other items will be done if requested
  • Essential ironing: We will take care of ironing to ensure you look your best
  • Meal preparation: Our talented cooks will assist in meal prep when required
  • General house maintenance: Overall maintenance operations will be carried out according to client’s needs

• NDIS Respite Care

  This service is meant to provide relief to carers during their work. NDIS Respite Care permits carers to go on short breaks and relax. It gives them much-needed breaks from their daily routine and also allows participants to spend time away from their homes and be with family or friends. For carers, it gives them time to take a break for their health and well-being. This benefits NDIS participants too because:

  • They meet new community groups
  • They can try different things, make friends, or develop new skills
  • They get support to participate in community activities

• NDIS Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)

  Our services as NDIS registered providers also include provisions for medium term accommodations. This is provided to participants who need a place to stay because the disability support systems in their homes are not yet ready. Participants eligible for NDIS Medium Term Accommodation include:

  • Individuals who are waiting for disability-related home modifications to be completed
  • People with disabilities who are waiting for a specialist disability accommodation vacancy
  • Participants who seek transitional housing before they decide on a permanent residence

• NDIS Short Term Accommodation (STA)

  Life Care Solutions also provides STA services to NDIS participants who wish to visit new places while providing planned respite for carers. We will provide flexible and responsive NDIS Short Term Accommodation services to help our clients and their families. STA services can last for a few hours or a few days.
